Derby Public Schools is excited to launch ParentSquare as our new district-wide communication platform. Beginning this summer and ahead of the 2026-2027 school year, ParentSquare will become the primary way families, staff and schools communicate.

Now that fall sports practices are underway and teams are taking shape, families are beginning to look ahead to schedules, tickets and the upcoming season. View or subscribe to team schedules.

New for the 2026-2027 school year, Derby Public Schools is moving to a new streamlined platform for all athletics and activities management. All secondary schools will use BOUND for registration, ticketing and scheduling.

Derby Public Schools is dedicated to maintaining safe and supportive environments across the district. To help prevent school violence and address bullying, we provide several easy, confidential and anonymous ways to report concerns.

All schools also utilize a visitor management system, called SafeVisitor, to enhance school entrance security, streamline the check-in process and help us to be aware of everyone in our schools.

Giving The Basics provides necessities of life that most people take for granted such as laundry soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper and other personal care hygiene products to registered and approved locations. Simply Hygiene distribute free hygiene products through a consistent monthly ordering process.

This guide is designed to help families, students and community members know where to start when they have a question, concern or need support.

Take a moment to read an overview of the safety procedures in place across our district.

At Derby Public Schools, we are committed to maintaining a focused, distraction-free learning environment that supports student achievement. In compliance with Kansas HB 2299, Derby Public Schools has implemented bell-to-bell personal electronic device expectations for all students. Specific procedures vary by school level. Please refer to student handbooks for complete building-level policies and expectations.

We are excited to announce that the Panther Watch volunteer program is expanding to the middle schools. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in supporting the learning environment at Derby Middle School, Derby North Middle School and Derby High School.
