Is your child a 5th-grader this year? Class of 2030 families are invited to middle school orientations for the 2023-2024 school year on Thursday, February 23, 7PM, at Derby North Middle School and Derby Middle School as listed below.
• Derby North Middle School (3100 N. Rock Road) in the Cafetorium (just inside the main doors)
• Derby Middle School (801 E. Madison) in the Auditorium
If you are applying for an In-District or Out of District transfer, you may attend the session of the building that is your first choice.
In addition, students will have a remote orientation session the morning of February 23 from their 5th grade classrooms. Counselors will also be visiting elementary schools the last week of February to review enrollment choices and process.
Band and Orchestra teachers previously visited and students will be able to sign up on Skyward Wishlist. Band and Orchestra teachers will be visiting 5th graders on February 7 or 8 to try out instruments.
We hope this informative meeting will answer questions about the enrollment process and other transition questions.

In the presentation, you will find instructions to submit your course requests in Skyward. Please complete it by Thursday, March 9. Instructions for how to complete the enrollment form will be sent out to families and can be found HERE.
